Victorian Snapper are seasonal, can grow up to 15kgs and can be caught in Port Phillip Bay and Westernport Bay
October to December is primarily a great time to target Snapper in Victoria, however they will, and can be targeted at their best when water temperatures range from 15 to 20 degrees. Snapper can be caught in most depths of water along our coastline and in our bays.
Bag Limit Victoria, Snapper is 3 over 40cm and 7 between 28cm – 40cm or a total of 10
Eating Qualities – Exceptional table fish, will suit most pallets White flaky flesh can be cooked in many ways, a favourite way is simply in the oven baked.
